A Message from the Club President

Hi everyone and welcome to the Rotary Club of Englewood's web site.  Our club has been in existence since 1937 and has been providing "Service Above Self" for well over 70 years! 

The following is a sampling of the projects our club has been involved in during the past few years:

-Establishing and funding a "Rotary Village" in Bangladesh by providing fresh drinking water, latrines, computers, housing, 12 bed Hospital (under construction) etc.

-Providing "First Books" for newborn children and their parents.

-Reading to the children of Bishop Elementary School every Thursday morning.

-Immunizing numerous children in the Englewood area through our "Shots for Tots" program.

-Providing "Back Packs" filled with clothing, shoes and school supplies to children in preparation of their first day of school.

-Providing financial assistance to Interfaith Community Services.

-Establishing and funding sources of clean drinking water in Africa and other countries.

-Supporting and funding various literacy projects throughout the Englewood area.

-Providing scholarships to high school seniors who are pursuing avenues of higher education.

-Recognizing Englewood Heroes (Best Policeman, Best Firefighter and Best Teacher every year)
