Hi Rotarians,
I hope you have had an enjoyable Labor Day weekend, and are coping with the weather changes!
I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, September 9, on our Zoom meeting, which will be an interesting and busy one. We will be having representatives from the Englewood program “Be a Tool Neighbor,” including Joe Anderson who will be discussing their program of serving many less fortunate individuals in Englewood.
Many of their projects may be of special interest to the members of our Club because of Rotary Governor Kemp’s proposed day of service in May in lieu of the annual conference.
At our meeting, we will also have a brief update from Co-President Susan VanDyke about the results of the Rotary Survey, and future Club meetings to discuss these results.
In addition, it is my honor to announce that Detective Sergeant Brian Cousineau has completed his application for membership, which has been accepted, and he has been notified that he is now a member of our Rotary Club. Brian participated in our Friends of Rotary program several years ago.
Brian has worked for the Englewood Police Department for many years and has assisted our Club with many programs and services over the last several years. I am pleased and proud to announce his membership and know that he will be an excellent member of our Club.
At our meeting on Wednesday, Brian has agreed to say a few words, as we formally introduce him to the Club. I would ask that our members say a few words of welcome to him.
I would also like to thank Patty, Josh and Susan for their help in finalizing Brian’s application.
As a final notice, we will have our monthly Board meeting on September 23, following our speaker, and ask that you to plan on attending this important Board meeting, especially as Co-President Susan takes over leading our Club for the next several months. If you have any agenda issues, please let me know as soon as possible.
I wish you the best for a pleasant September and look forward to seeing you on Wednesday the 9th at 1:00 pm on Zoom.
