Rotarians throughout the world make a difference: curing diseases, stopping pandemics, promoting economic stability, and saving humanity in Third World countries.
Rotarians provide little miracles when they’re needed the most.
Thanks for all you do to make the world a little bit better! -- Susan
We meet at the Englewood Police Department this week
Members of the Englewood Police Department are expecting us to start arriving from 11:30 to noon at 3615 S. Elati in Englewood.
Chief John Collins will be at the meeting to discuss police issues in general and specific concerns in Englewood before the tour, which will be conducted by Police Commanders.
The tours will take about a half hour. The Police Station is a $28 million facility, and I believe that all will enjoy the presentation and tour. See you tomorrow.
Dawn is bringing lunches. Please let Patty know if you did not RSVP but now wish to attend. paburnett@aol.com

Our Valentine's meeting
We will have a fun meeting on Feb. 12, two days before Valentine's Day. We're planning a fun game and a special menu. If you have not yet RSVPed to attend (via the sign-up at the last meeting), please email Patty: paburnett@aol.com
Upcoming: Suicide Prevention Symposium
Rotarians for Mental Health, which I co-chair, will present a Suicide Prevention Symposium on March 5 at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center. This is in conjunction with the annual State of the State luncheon.
We've chosen this special focus because the statistics for Colorado are deeply troubling. Our teen suicide rate is double the national average.
One feature of this event will be QPR training in how to identify red flags (Question), talk with a vulnerable person (Persuade) and Refer them to help. This is very valuable training for anyone, but especially for those who know vulnerable people.
Like the whole symposium, it's free and open to the public. So please let friends and family know. Details at R4MH.org. -- Patty
