“Hi, Rotarians. Thank you to Lee Busto and Mike Dow for giving us interesting updates on their personal and business lives, and for Patty’s review of this very important mental health grant. We enjoyed your thoughtful and informative presentations.
At our upcoming May 20 meeting, Wendy Rubin, Englewood Superintendent of Schools and fellow Rotarian, will talk about a variety of educational issues affecting children, parents and the members in our Englewood community. With all of the new construction and social challenges that our schools are facing, I’m sure that Wendy will give us a very up to date perspective on these issues in Englewood and in school systems in general.
Next week on May 27 because of the Memorial Day Holiday we will be DARK and will NOT have a Rotary meeting, nor a happy hour, but we will have our regular meeting on Wednesday, June 3, with a presentation by Peter and Linda Jeschofnig about their World Tour in 2019.
In addition, this week, on May 20, we will have our Board Meeting, following Wendy’s presentation and the adjournment of our regular meeting. All Rotarians are invited to stay on Zoom to attend the Board meeting. At the Board meeting, we will be discussing organizational and financial issues, a follow-up on projects, the June picnic, and other items affecting our Club.
For the next newsletter, I hope to give you an update from the Board meeting. If you have a topic you believe the Board should consider, please send your topic to me. I hope you are well, and I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday at 1:00 on Zoom.
